Dr. Briganti’s research is in computational medicine with a specific focus on psychiatry, His work aims to elucidate the relationships between symptoms and traits, in the aim to gain deeper insights into mental health conditions. He is particularly interested in severe mental disorders, personality and personality disorders, and the impact of psychopharmacology. His research extends to the application of AI in medicine, as he supervises numerous junior and senior researchers in different fields that try to implement AI models and technologies in clinical practice (e.g., surgery, anesthesia, neurology, emergency medicine).

In digital health education, Dr. Briganti has been instrumental in integrating AI into medical curricula. He led the creation of the “Chair of AI and Digital medicine” at the University of Mons, aiming to equip future healthcare professionals with the necessary skills to navigate and leverage AI technologies in clinical settings.
